Faculty Guidelines
| The Board of Trustees of the University of Wyoming approved the establishment of Archives Faculty on July 1, 1995. As set forth in University Regulation 490, Archives Faculty at the American Heritage Center assist the University in carrying out its mission of achieving educational excellence. Appointment, promotion and extended term appointment of archives faculty are based upon the development, advancement and dissemination of knowledge at the University of Wyoming. |

These are demonstrated through the functions of teaching, original research, support of the educational process, administration and related University activities and services. Archivists are responsible for acquiring original resource material to support academic research and teaching, organizing the material physically and intellectually, and teaching faculty, students and others to use the materials through educational programs and bibliographic instruction.
