Mark Shelstad

Mark Shelstad is Associate Archivist/Information Manager at the University of Wyoming's American Heritage Center. He became a member of the UW faculty in July 1995 and promoted to Associate Archivist in May 2001.

He has an M.A. in Public History, specializing in archival administration. University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 1992 and a B.A. in History, University of Minnesota-Morris, 1990, which included working at the West Central Minnesota Historical Research Center. He also worked at the Minnesota Historical Society from 1990-1991.

Mark currently serves as manager of Digital Projects, the AHC's Web site, its catalog system, and provides records management services for the University Archives. In addition, he is project manager for two grants with the Collaborative Digitization Program: the Rocky Mountain Online Archive, an EAD encoding project, and Sound Model, a digital audio project.

In addition to the CDP, Mark is active with the Society of American Archivists, the Midwest Archives Conference, and the Society of Rocky Mountain Archivists.
