Information About the Movies

The Quick Time Virtual Reality movies of the AHC were taken on August 19, October 17, November 1, and December 23, 2002, and January 16, 2003.  A Nikon 995 CoolPix  Digital Camera took the images and were stitched together with VR OjbectWorx software resulting in .mov files.

The following movies were taken on August 19th, 2002:

• Fifth floor, general view (2.0 MB)
• Rentschler Room (2.5 MB)
• Colket Room (1.9 MB)
• Toppan Library (2.5 MB)
• Storage Area (2.4 MB)
• Simpson Institute (1.9 MB)

The following movies were taken on October 17th, 2002:

• Sheep Room (1.4 MB)
• Observation Deck (1.0 MB)
• Upper Lobby (1.3 MB)
• Lower Lobby (2.0 MB)
• Audio-Visual (2.3 MB)
• Rouse Room (1.1 MB)
• Top of the Building, South View (1.7 MB)
• Top of the Building, North View (1.4 MB)

The following movies were taken on November 1st, 2002:

Viewing the Movies

There are minimum hardware and software requirements necessary to view these materials.  A personal computer running a web browser with QuickTime Player, must be downloaded and your personal computer needs a minimum 28.8 modem installed to view the .mov files.

Click and drag the cursor in the movie window below to move about the scene.  There are hot spots that are indicated by an upward pointing arrow when the cursor moves over them that allow the user to move between panoramas and view selected objects close up.

QuickTime Player controls appear at the bottom of the movie.  The controls are from left to right:  back, zoom out, zoom in, show hot spots, and drag zoomed object.
