1. Explore the writing of Wyoming's constitution as an exchange of ideas and encounter with the federal government, including the legalization of women's suffrage.

2. Explore the encounter and exchange of the westward settlement by non-native people with the Shoshone tribe or other Native Americans.

3. Explore the advent of tourism in Wyoming and how the image of the "Old West" is still used to describe Western culture. What do tourists experience in their encounter with real Western culture?

4. Research agriculture in Wyoming during World War II and the exchange between the farmers and their labor, Japanese-Americans interned at the Heart Mountain Relocation Center.

5. Explore the life of Nellie Tayloe Ross, Wyoming's first woman governor. How and why did she become governor? What issues did she encounter as a woman governor? What were the issues that led to her defeat in her bid for re-election?
