Wyoming Partnership for Civic Education Call for Proposals |

Applicants are offered the opportunity to use primary sources at the AHC to develop innovative civic lessons that will improve students’ understanding of the fundamental principles and values upon which democratic society rests. Proposals in two distinct categories are being solicited. Category One is for proposals to create lesson plans specific to the topics that have been pre-selected and are listed below. These instructional materials will be distributed on CD’s or DVD’s and will include both the lesson plans and the primary documents from the collections at the AHC. Category Two is for proposals to do research at the American Heritage Center resulting in the creation of civic education lesson plans based on primary sources chosen by the applicant. Two proposals in each category will be selected and the applicants will be awarded the appropriate stipend upon completion of their work. As a part of this project successful applicants will have access to AHC faculty, facilities, and materials. College of Education faculty and Wyoming Partnership for Civic Education staff will also be available to provide assistance. Please used the application form attached to submit your proposal. The deadline for submitting proposals is March 26, 2007. Successful applicants will be notified by April 13, 2007.
