During Jacksons career he photographed much of the West, including
Wyomings Wind River Mountains, Colorados Mount of the Holy
Cross, and Mesa Verde. He illustrated the majestic beauty of the Western
frontier to many at a time when few had the ability to witness it firsthand.
Jackson also was one of the few pioneers to document the West through
the lens of his camera as well as with canvas and brush.
