Peter Kooi Simpson (b. 1930) sat for two terms in the Wyoming Legislature and was the 1986 Republican gubernatorial candidate. He was a professor and administrator at various institutions, including the University of Wyoming, where he was Vice-President for Institutional Advancement and Director of the UW Foundation. Peter Simpson married Lynne Livingston, and they had three children.
