For Home and Country Virtual Exhibit

This exhibit is an online version of one that appeared at the AHC beginning on November 11, 1999.

The exhibit examines the services of residents and veterans of Albany County, Wyoming, both at home and abroad, during five of the major conflicts in which the United States has been involved during the 20th century. Beginning with World War I and ending with the Persian Gulf War, it includes not only the men and women who served in the United States armed forces but all of those who worked and sacrificed on the home front to support our troops overseas.

The exhibit focuses on three major areas. First, the participation and contribution of America's armed forces in each of the five major conflicts. The exhibit also features the changing technology of warfare and its consequences to both military personnel and civilians, as well as the effect of participation in foreign wars on the American home front and the contributions people made to support the various war efforts.
