Image Request and Reproduction Form

You may use this form to request a search for a certain photograph or for photographs within a certain subject area. Please be as specific as possible when requesting a photograph search. You may also use this form to request a duplication of an image. High resolution photographic prints, transparencies or digital files may be purchased of images within the American Heritage Center collections. Please review Duplicating Services for duplication options. Orders totaling $20.00 or more must be paid in advance. If the image will be published, exhibited or displayed on the web, please see Commercial Use Fees for information on requesting permission for use or submit a request through our Permission to Publish Form.

Please note: Orders can take approximately three to four weeks to fill. Photographic Reprints

The American Heritage Center photography lab uses Kodak black & white resin-coated paper or Ilford Warmtone resin-coated paper. Color prints must be sent to an off-site processing lab, and an extra fee will be charged. We offer options such as cropping and borderless printing. If the photograph you request has captions, please indicate if you would like them in the reprint. Depending on the size of the original, the image may or may not fill the entire paper. Rush orders of 10 days or less are possible for an extra fee of 50% of the order’s cost. See our Duplicating Prices before ordering. Customers may choose paper type and a glossy or matte finish.

Scans

The American Heritage Center uses a Microtek Scanmaker 9800 XL flatbed scanner, capable of scanning items 12” by 17” and 3200 dpi resolution. Larger items can also be stiched together with this scanner. Scanning services are $55 per hour with a one hour minimum and includes a CD and shipping charges.
